Next week Isabell and I are going to Italy for two weeks. For months we have been waiting in anticipation for this trip. Ironically we have not been drinking much Italian wine over the past few months, perhaps because we are waiting to indulge on our trip. That said, I think the latest Wall Street Journal wine column that highlights Chianti Classico (different from just chianti) was quite timely for us. The piece reminded me how Italian wine is so approachable and distinctive… and it really has me excited about the upcoming trattoria dinners in Firenze.
